Launched in 2020, Sticky Rice Magazine’ mission is to promote intercultural understanding by highlighting the experiences of diasporic Canadians of Asian descent, sparking conversations about what it means to be Asian-Canadian.

The project's main focus is on collective growth. Through essays, interviews, and various creative forms of expression, Sticky Rice aims to foster an ongoing dialogue about identity and culture.

The project began with a group of friends seeking to have fun and connect with like-minded individuals, and they welcome contributions from anyone interested in their mission.

After all, when cooked right, sticky rice expands and holds together.

• Manages a team of writers and is responsible for curating fresh, relevant, and informative content for both the Volumes and the Lifestyle blog.  
  

ENGLISH + FRENCH TRANSLATOR

GRAPHIC DESIGNER

• Proactive in bringing new concepts for our brand design through our website and social media


• Ensure quality in asset delivery

WEB DEVELOPER

Roles and responsibilities

• Primary tasks include website maintenance and help design the layout of a website, working closely with the Creative Director, taking into consideration both the user experience and web functionality. Experience with CSS, HTML, Javascipt & more.
